Summer League is Winding Down
AYBA - Thu Jul 29, 2010
Summer is a great time to play hoops and 2010 was no exception. As our Summer season winds down over the next couple of weekends we want to extend a warm thank you to all of our parents, coaches, division directors, referees, scorekeepers, board members, and other volunteers for making the 2010 Summer season memorable for our kids. Without you the AYBA could not continue as one of the largest and most successful youth sports programs in our area. Thank You!
The AYBA Team
Mr. Snack Shack is in the House
Agoura High School - Fri Jul 16, 2010
If you get a chance to stop by the snack shack at Agoura High School during your AYBA games, be sure to thank Scott Knigin for donating his weekends to man the snack shack. Despite being wheel chair bound after a debilitating stroke several years ago, Scott takes the time to stock the shack with drinks on ice and goodies. He also heads up sales each week.
When asked why he does it, Scott quickly replies, "I do it for the kids and to give back to the community". As a youth, Scott and his brothers benefited from the many opportunities that youth sports programs offered and giving back to the AYBA program gives him a great deal of satisfaction.
The proceeds from the Snack Shack help fund many of the AYBA programs and help offset some of our costs.
