Girls Just Want to Have Fun!

If you haven't seen one of our 1st thru 3rd grade girls division games you don't know what you are missing. Saturday the THUNDER and the LYNXS laughed, giggled, smiled, and played some pretty darn good basketball to an exciting 12-10 out come that could have gone to either team.

Summer Hoops at its Finest

Despite the 95 degree heat and leaving everything they had on the floor, the 5th grade boys teams of Robert Bartolemea and Mark Wesley were all smiles after a 35 to 34 barn burner at Agoura High School. Both teams had a great time and after the game the kids exemplified outstanding sportsmanship by posing for a picture with a resounding "AYBA is number one"! |

Late Summer Signup

Games: Played for 6 weeks, with a blend of weekend games (9:00AM to 4:00PM) and weekday games (5:00PM to 9:00PM). Games for the 2010 summer season will start the week of June 19th and conclude on August 8th. No games will be scheduled on the 4th of July weekend. AYBA will utilize the following gyms and locations for the summer season; Agoura High School, Lindero Middle School, Oak Park High School, Medea Creek Middle School, and The CAGE at Oak Park High School. There are no “bench warmers” in this program, as every player must play a minimum of 2 quarters of every game.

AYBA Girls Night at Oak Park High School

Come on out and support the Oak Park High School Lady Eagles this week as they face Oaks Christian Thursday Feb 4th at Oak Park High School. Junior Varsity tips off at: 5:30PM and Varsity tips off at 7:00PM.
All girls wearing AYBA Jerseys and all students from neighboring schools get in free.
Also Saturday Feb 6th is Senior Night at Oak Park High School with 5:30 and 7:00 Tip off times. Again, all AYBA jerseys get in free! |
Make-up and VIP Pictures

Make-up pictures will be held on January 31 at OPHS in the foyer from 9-10:30. These make-ups are only for individuals that missed picture day or for whole teams that did not have a team picture taken. We will not be taking team pictures for teams that were missing one or two players. We will also be having pictures for the VIP league during this time. |

The Clippers held on 37 to 33 to beat the Celtics with some clutch free throw shooting. Tyler Penta poured in 18 points for the Clippers while the Celtics Danny Smooke and Joey Bock collected 9 points each. |
Week 6 We have a great one lined up for you 5:00 PM at Oak Park High School. Randy Cooper's undefeated Rockets take on Chris Carr's 3 and 1 Warriors for first place in the Boys High School division. Come on out and see the big boys play!

Picture Day Instructions
- Picture forms are only needed if the player is ordering something extra, like a plaque or mug. All players will receive the standard package consisting of a team picture, 4 large wallets, 1 3”x5” individual picture, and 3” photo button free of charge.
- Make-ups will be provided only for individual pictures. NO TEAM PICTURE MAKE-UPS. Date to be determined.
- Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your designated picture time. Teams that have all players and are ready will be taken ahead of incomplete teams, regardless of scheduled time.
- Line your team up single file shortest to tallest (shortest in the front) and ensuring that your team waits in an orderly fashion.

The AYBA has secured 53 time slots at the Oak Park Community Center for lower division teams using 8 foot baskets. This includes Boys 1st and 2nd and Girls 1st thru 3rd. Nick Young Flight School

 Nick Young is a Guard for the Washington Wizards of the NBA. He was an All City high school player at Cleveland High and an all Pac 10 player at USC. Come hang out and play hoops with Nick as you learn fundamentals of the game and have lots of FUN.

student from Agoura HS and the second to a graduating student from Oak Park HS.
This year AYBA is providing these scholarships in memory of former AYBA Board member and coach, Jeff Hall and Medea Creek 8th grade student, Cody Badalato.
